About Me

I live because Jesus Christ died for me. I exist to worship him. And I write for his glory.

Welcome to my blog! My name is Cassie, and I’m 25 years old. I live in Sydney, Australia, with my parents and a very aloof dog. I’m currently training as a ministry apprentice at Merrylands Anglican Church. In my free time, I love to do all the other things writers do: read, drink tea, and cry over nature documentaries (or is that last one just me?).

The tagline of this blog was inspired by a C.S. Lewis quote I have stuck up on my wall:

I must keep alive in myself the desire for my true country, which I shall not find till after death; I must never let it get snowed under or turned aside; I must make it the main object of life to press on to that other country and to help others do the same. (C.S. Lewis, Mere Christianity)

That’s is the goal for my life—and my goal for this blog. Through my writing I want to help you press on towards heaven, our true country. This is a country bought for us by the atoning blood of Jesus Christ. This is a country where we will see God face to face, and find fullness of joy. This is a country that changes everything about how we live now. I pray you will be strengthened to live for Jesus by what you read here.
